“Who will King Viserys marry? Who will take the throne for herself?”
A matter of weeks after Robb Stark declares war on Joffrey Baratheon after killing his father, the Targaryens lay siege to the capital and take the iron throne; driving the Lannisters back to Casterly Rock. Viserys is King of all the Seven Kingdoms and has ordered each House send a member to sit his small council; an honored hostage in the Red Keep to maintain peace. But just because the Targaryens have taken the throne, doesn’t mean the war has ended— it only adds a new player. With all Houses forced to bend the knee alongside their enemies, everyone is out for themselves. Some seek to make new allies to overthrow the King, while others plan to take the throne that was stolen from them.

When Viserys took back the throne and Arya goes back to King’s Landing, he follows her in the hopes that it is the best decision. Joffrey Baratheon | Casterly Rock | Former King of Westeros | FC: Jack Gleeson | Open
“Destroy them all! Kill them all; your King commands it!” Those had been the final words Joffrey had screamed as King of Westeros. After that, he was dragged from the battlements as his men surrendered before the true battle had begun and slipped away to Casterly Rock in fear Viserys would kill him. But instead, the King enjoys making Joffrey bend the knee whenever he is asked. Joffrey is quick to anger, and his growing frustration only makes him worse. To him; it seems his family have given up all hope. Thus, he himself makes his own plans to take back his throne. And if he should succeed, he has sworn that no dragon will survive.
Mace Tyrell | King’s Landing | Member of the small council | FC: Hugh Bonneville | Open
Mace Tyrell is an extremely ambitious man, whose first priority is securing political dominance for his family. Though he is not well liked among the small council, no one would dare cross him as he is considered one of the wealthiest men in Westeros. Although he was one of the first to swear fealty to Viserys, and believes he is an acceptable king, his ideal goal is to see Highgarden on the throne, too. He aims to achieve this through his daughter, Margaery, but he is also open to securing other alliances through marriage if the end result is House Tyrell becoming part of the royal family. But Mace does have a downfall; he is by no means politically savvy. All his goals and ideals come through his daughter and mother, who puppet him into making decisions they cannot.
