Brienne of Tarth was the sole surviving child of Lord Tarth and was meant to have a fairly leisurely life, perhaps a marriage to a high house and many children. Instead, she took an early interest in martial activity and fighting. She has been disparingly called Brienne the Beauty because of this. She has proved her worth time and time again and became part of Renly Baratheon’s Kingsguard. Brienne cares little for the politics of Renly, but will always support her king.
